Hi there; looking for some assistance? I’m not great on the phone… But I love replying to people via eMail.
It had been a hard few days for Low, his mental reservoir as low as his nickname. But still he moved down the hall of the university, going to his last class of the day.
He was elated at least to be in this one; Professor Percival was a gem, and had known his parents before their untimely deaths.
Low stopped, he leaned back against the wall, he had to breath deep and give himself a moment.
Learning, his parent’s plane crash had been planned by Templar to hide a plot was still too fresh, and his parents being spies belonging to an order called the Archivist’s, it had been almost too much. But then, there were the other things.
Like how he was currently playing host to a Djinn trapped inside a gravedigger’s shovel who had no boundaries, and a Dryad that had attached her soul to the pot of aloe vera growing in his window. And then there was~
“Did you hear?”
Low looked up to see his buddy Sue, “What?”
“Prof Percival, he retired. Hurt his hip over the break with his new wife and they’ve decided to just go freedom fifty five on us.”
Low shook his head, “Figures, I’ll call him up and congratulate him later.”
His friend Sue, was always a chatty guy, but he seemed really excited.
“Isee you’ve got something other than your top surgery going great. What else you got?”
“You noticed, thanks. Yeah, and thanks to the tea I’m growing a beard.”
Low squinted, poking his friend’s wispy chin scrap, “This beard, really?”
Sue shoved him then winced when Low didn’t budge.
“Dude, you been working out?”
Low chuckled, Sue was the one on testosterone support. “Thanks for noticing. Oh, hey, did you decide if you wanna go with a new name, or am I still calling you Sue?”
He nodded, “I thought about it hard, I was named after my grandmother, she was a Susan too, and honestly a badass in the military. So I decided to just stick with it. My parents appreciated that I think, my dad was happy I could tell. Besides, since I started working out no ones bugged me about it.”
“I wouldn’t mess with a guy named Susan who can bench-press my bodyweight.”
“And thus he learns. Oh, but back to what I was saying, the new prof is hot. I just went in there to drop my laptop at my usual spot in the back of the theater, but when I saw her.” He fanned himself, biting his bottom lip, “I moved down to the front row.”
Low couldn’t help but give a dry chuckle.
“You wanna talk hot, you oughta check out my new roommates.”
Low froze, he’d let it slip. He didn’t want people to know that. But Sue was his best friend here and talking to him he never kept secrets.
“You got roommates?”
Low shrugged.
“Does your granny know? Because I know she’d love the idea of hot woman living with you.”
“Yeah, oh, they’re friends of her-ers daughters. Older chick’s, but, they’re cool. Ones uh, a botanist. And the other is a-uh, a grave… digger.” Not a complete lie. Willow was a Dryad able to control plants, and Gravesbane was literally a Djinn with the power to let him talk to the dead.
“Seriously?”
“Yes?”
Sue crossed his arms, then winced and put his arms down, “No pictures no proof, dude.”
“Whatever,” if he could get either of them to put on more than an apron around the house he’d consider it to shut his buddy up.
“As to the new prof, she’s right through those gilded oak doors, and damn!” He hugged himself, wincing again, and dropped his arms in frustration.
“You okay?”
“Fine, fine, they tell you six to eight weeks, it’s going on nine and I’m still having issues. Getting a bit much honestly.”
“Dude, wait till you get the bottom done, that video you sent me was… well, nuts. Ha!”
“I know,” Sue chuckled, “Thinking I may hold off on that one.”
“You do what feels right brother, this unused lump hanging between my legs never made me feel like a man.”
“You really need a girlfriend, Low.”
“I have enough woman troubles with the ones in my life already, honestly, add sex in the mix and I’m sure I’ll go literally crazy.”
“Oh no,” Sue said derisively, “What a woe to have. Your cool as F granny, keeps trying to hook you up with hot older woman. I feel so bad for you; not.”
“Whatever, let’s go.”
“I gotta go grab my books, still not allowed to carry too much.”
“They in your car?”
“Yeah.”
“Here, hand me your keys, if you have to make that many trips we’ll be here all day.”
“Sweet, I’ll save you a seat up front.”
Low nodded, and took Sue’s keys and walked back out to the parking lot.
Thankfully, Sue had parked nice and close, his little electric car plugged in up at the front by the doors. Low found his bag with all his books and brought the stack, not sure exactly what he needed, but just as okay with carrying them back to his buddies car after class. Sue usually drove him home after classes they shared, so he assumed today would be the same.
His arms laden with books, Low made his way back in and was just in time to get let in by one of the others in his class.
He saw Sue in the front, and walked over to sit down, finding his seat and plugging in his laptop on the desk just as he heard an oh so sweet voice call over the chatter of the room.
“Okay, quiet down everyone!”
Low looked up, his heart sinking into his stomach.
“No,” he whispered.
The woman standing there was a lith thing, short even when not compared to him, she was thin and from how obvious it was that she wore no bra, it was because the petite woman didnt need it. The way she stood though, well, she made it work. Long legs crossed as she leaned back on her desk, she wore a creamy coloured silky looking blouse, only buttoned half the way. And as usual she wore fishnets and a skirt that was one inch from inappropriate, with heels that added more than a few inches making her butt pop, and not a hard thing with a gluteus that maximum. It made no sense a woman so narrow as a creek, had a backside that verdant.
Sue looked up, back and forth between Low and Lucy, not knowing their relationship, “What?”
“Please,” he hissed, “Tell me this is a nightmare?”
“Huh? Dude, that’s the new teacher,” Sue said quietly.
“No, no, no, no, this is not good.”
Sue looked confused, but, Low didn’t get a chance to explain as a sharp crack rang through the now quiet room.
Low looked down to where the tip of a yardstick now rested on his stack of books, following the length of yellow wood up to meet eyes with Lucifer herself.
“Mister?”
“Uh,” he didn’t get what she was asking.
“You are, mister?”
“Oh, uh, Swallow, Swallow Mohan, umm… Miss.”
“Well, let’s get to this, without further interruptions Mr. Mohan. And for everyone,” Lucy walked to the chalkboard. She was as usual slow in her movements around him, still trying to seduce him, grabbing a big marker and popping the cap, about to put it to the board.
“Uh, Lucy?”
The room went dead silent again.
Her back stiff she turned slowly, a look that could melt glass on her face.
“Mister Mohan, I know we met before, but here in class. And this goes for everyone,” she pointed with her yardstick to accentuate her point. Turning to the board and writing in big letters. “My name, is Ms. Eosphorus. But as that may be;” and she pointed at him, poking him with her stick back into his seat; “Difficult to remember. You can just call me. Ms. E,” she finished, and leaned against her desk with a smile crossing her arms under her petite chest.
“But, Ms. E, I was~”
“Why don’t you tell me after class, Mr. Mohan.” Her words brooked no nonsense, which was unusual for Lucy. Low had never seen her so serious in fact. Everything out of her mouth was usually a sex joke, or some vain attempt to get him to marry her. So he shut up, and sat back.
Waiting for his chance to talk the class crawled by, and by the end he felt like the fool. He wasn’t happy to see her here like this, assuming he had left her back in Alaska with his granny. Finding her here was a tough pill to keep down.
By the time they were all packing up he was in a fit state, and he hasn’t taken any notes at all.
“Hey, Low? You good dude?”
Low shook his head, “But, I’ll be fine. I gotta talk to… Ms. E …but leave your books here, I’ll grab them if you don’t mind waiting for me?”
Sue nodded, “Sure dude.”
And with that, he sat back and waited for the room to empty before finally saying out loud.
“Why are you here Lucy?”
She had had her back to him, fiddling with books, but clearly just wiggling her butt his way.
“To keep you on track dumby,” she cooed, sitting back on her desk, “Your professor took early retirement, a lottery winning. Lucky him. So I’m teaching your history in archaeology one-o’two course now; who better than the person who lived it.”
“And that little thing, the one you’re leaving out?”
She got up and walked slowly towards his desk, “What?”
“Don’t play stupid, you’re here to watch me.”
“Hey it is what it is,” she hummed, not even pretending for a second she wasn’t, “My future husband’s education is a big deal to me. I won’t be giving eternal life to just any idiot,” she tapped him on the nose playfully, “Just my idiot.”
“Look, I told you, I’m not gonna change my mind, you can’t take me for your own. So I’d become some powerful magician dude, I’d rather just stay the course and become an archivist, just like my father. My resolve is not one you can erode with miniskirts temptress; you can’t break me.”
She smiled, slowly crossing back to her desk, hopping up so her feet were off the ground, her long heels clicking on the linoleum tiled floor, thighs spread just enough apart that her skirt began to ride up.
He felt like he was being hunted all over again.
She then reached down, teasing a button on her blouse, “You say can’t, pretty-boy, but I think you know that’s not true. I’m very capable of doing just that.”
“What’re you doing?”
“It’s time you realized who’s in charge here, Swallow,” she stood up, taking up the yardstick off her desk, cracking it across her palm. “Now you’re gonna stay here in detention,” she calmly drew the tip of the yellow wooden stick across her desk, “And write, “I will stare at the teacher’s ass,” on the chalkboard a hundred times.”
“No~”
Low stood up from his seat in the front row, standing up made it so she had to look up at him, there was no getting around it; even with her heels on, she was tiny.
“Oh come on!” She squeaked, petulantly stomping her foot, heel clicking angrily.
“I want a real woman Lucy, not~”
“I know I don’t have much in the way of tits like that dairy cow of a dryad hanging out at your place, and I’m not all tall and musclebound like that ape of a Djinn, but I have a great ass, just look at it! I’m hot, why wont you just give up and admit it?!”
“First off, it’s not that, I was gonna say, its because you’re literally Lucifer. If it wasn’t for that, I mean… no, I’m not going there.”
She poked her toe sheepishly, “And secondly.”
He smiled, “It’s because you’ve been writing in marker on that chalk board all day. So, yeah, dummy you’ve just written that in permanent marker.”
She looked up at the wall behind her, “Oh, I wondered why people were snickering. I assumed maybe my skirt got caught in my underwear. But, then I remembered I wasn’t wearing any, so I assumed maybe someone was just trying to be disruptive, which I highly approve of. Spit in the eye of authority, and bring light to the world!”
“You’re still an idiot.”
“But, you think I’m hot, right?”
“Yes, you’re very pretty.”
She looked so sad still, pouty smile looking up at him, “And… my ass…?”
Low rolled his eyes, “Yes, I think your ass is great, but I~”
“Wanna touch it? I don’t mind, really, just a little, please. I have been dying to be touched.”
She spun about, leaning over her desk.
“Oh no not again!”
“Again?” She squeaked, turning to look up at him. “You haven’t touched my ass? Id remember that.”
“Really, well do you remember when I kicked you out of my room for sneaking into my bed yesterday.”
She looked sheepish, then crossing her arms again pushing the girls up to peak at him from the silky folds of her blouse.
“Yeah.”
“Well, I woke up before you did,” he took the yardstick from her gently, “I didn’t know who it was and I was fumbling about still half asleep, and accidentally touched your butt.”
Lucy dropped to her knees, “No, you couldn’t have.”
“I did, so yes, you have a great ass.”
“But, I was asleep…,” she whined. “That doesn’t count.”
Low couldn’t help but laugh, “Yup.”
But, even defeated she was insufferable, “You like my ass, that’s a victory for the almighty Ms. Lucifer Eosphous, sexy substitute professor.”
“You’re literally the worst.”
“Nope, I am the sexiest?”
“No, Willow is definitely sexier,”
“WHAT?!”
“What, what?”
“Tread lightly, Swallow. I’m still a fallen angel, and I am so not in the mood for being teased about that. Not after being shot down.”
“Well, you’re just~”
“I’m just, what?”
“Well, you’re playing it too easy. There, I said it.”
“I am so hurt by this revala-No Duh! Of course I’m easy, I made a deal with your granny I give her heir immortal life and power, and I get a husband.”
“Yeah, well, I never made that deal.”
“I care, really I do, my heart is bleeding. But, on the other hand, my lady bits are feeling neglected.”
“Go sleep with someone else. Tom, in the third row, bet he’d nail to the wall like a bit of wood.”
“Is that a flat joke mister?! What’d I say about teasing me?”
“I just mean, he’d sleep with a walrus.”
“Oh, so now I’m fat?”
“Why is talking to you so damn difficult?!”
“That’s marriage for you.”
“GAH!”
“Hey, come back here! I told you to write lines mister! Don’t make me get my yard stick again! Hey! Put your books down! Get back here and kiss me good night…”
Halfway to the door, he paused though, unable to keep going as she quietly called to him, “Swallow?”
“What?”
“Can I still come for dinner?” He chuckled, “Yeah, yeah, just be on time today, and sober.”
“If I do, can I sit beside you?”
He gave another dry chuckle, but he didn’t say no, and the sound of her dancing about behind him let him know she caught the drift.
